Fiorditufo blocks are ideal for realising partitions and stopping up covers for the interiors of buildings, because of their thermoinsulating and phonoabsorbing qualities and the easy way to use them also for doing the outlines for technological systems. The internal walls made by Fiorditufo can be plastered or left in their natural way. This natural and particular look is appreciated especially for representative places like offices and shops but also for garages, car parks, cellars and so on. If the natural look is used for the internal spaces of offices and similar places it may be necessary to apply a inhibiting treatment of the surface after having cleaned the blocks accurately with water and dried them very well after. The inhibiting treatment can be done by applying a very thin stratum of mortar made of hydraulic lime. By getting in contact with the hydraulic lime, the Fiorditufo blocks develop their great pozzolanic properties. In order to achieve the right chromatic intonation, the mortar has to be mixed suitably with Fiorditufo sawdust. Another excellent protection of the surface can be achieved by using silicon resins (alchilic-acrilic-polysilossanic), also the transparent ones.
