The material's thermoinsulating characteristics are also closely linked to its lightness, with a thermal conductivity on the order of 0.55 W/m°K for blocks with weight of 1.30 t/m³, and specific heat on the order of 0.30 Wh/kg°K (close to that of wool, which is 0.48 Wh/kg°K). These are values that, in combination with the material′s excellent thermal inertia, allow for significant energy savings in homes (and the consequent lower environmental pollution in urban areas) due to lower installed power and the reduced utilization time of heating or air-conditioning system.

thermic conductivity: 0,55 w/m°K,
specific heat: 0,29 wh/Kg°K,
unitary thermic capacity: 433 wh/m²°K.
